2nd Annual ISF Kids T-Shirt Design Contest

2016 Design Winner

Back again!  The ISF youth t-shirt designs we received last year were so cute… we have to do it again.  Kids ages 5-12 years old are invited to submit an original logo design for the Isabella Santos Foundation 5K/10K race event.  The winning logo design will be feature on t-shirts given to all YOUTH participants at the ISF 5k/10K event.  Thank you Charlotte Eye Ear Nose & Throat Associates, P.A. for sponsoring the ISF Kids T-Shirt Design contest for a second year!

This year we were super excited to have our favorite art studio, Small Hands Big Art, host a T-Shirt Design Workshop last week to kick off the contest.  We were also super excited that it filled up immediately.  Many creative and cute designs came to life and now we are opening the contest up for emailed entries.  This being our 10th Anniversary, we are looking for a design that reflects that significance!  Parents- this is the perfect time to talk to your child about ISF, about kids fighting cancer and get them excited about participating in the 5K/10K/Fun Run event on September 30th!

Small Hands Big Art Design Workshop

DETAILS:

  • Ages 5-12
  • Design must be drawn by hand
  • Design must include one of the following elements:
    • ISF Girl
    • The number 10 (10th)
    • The World (earth)
  • Design must be drawn on a piece of plan white paper, 8 1/2 x 11
  • T-shits will be a shade of purple
  • Deadline for entries is Monday, August 28th.

We have a few events that are still in need of several volunteers .  Please click on the respective links to signup/email.  Contact Karen with questions.  We appreciate your time and passion, we could not continue our fight against childhood cancer without your dedication.

1.   Party Like A Mother CLT, 8/18 (ISF is a beneficiary)
 
2.  Treehouse Vineyards Heritage Festival, 9/16 (ISF is a beneficiary)
  • ALL volunteers will get a t-shirt, a voucher for a bottle of wine from Treehouse Vineyards, and a swag bag!!
  • Treehouse Vineyards Heritage Festival Station Volunteer:  Email Torie if you are interested in volunteering at the various festival stations (i.e grape stomping, wine glass polishing, registration, etc…): torie@treehousevineyards.com
  • ISF Raffle and Ticket Volunteer:  Email Karen if you are interested in selling raffle tickets & working our raffle table. ISF will need 4 Volunteers each shift: kmurphy@isabellasantosfoundation.org
    • 1st Shift: 1:00 – 4:00 PM -FULL
    • 2nd Shift: 3:00 – 6:00 PM – still need 1-2 volunteers

We have created an “ISF Volunteer Group” on Facebook for future opportunities & information.  ISF could not do the things we do with out the help of volunteers! By being a part of this group- you will be notified of ways that you can assist us throughout the year. Not only it is fun, but also rewarding to be part of our overall fight. We are ALL making a difference together and we would love to have you be a part of our ISF family. We hope that this group will be a fast and easy way to let you know what we have going on and where you can plug in to help. Our Little Cheerleader

One of Isabella’s favorite days of her life.
 
We LOVE the Carolina Panthers and excited to see them play in the first pre-season game tonight. Make-A-Wish Central & Western North Carolina and The Carolina Panthers Top Cats made her an honorary Top Cat for the day in November of 2011. She was low on energy but she muscled up the strength for the day. The crowd was so amazing to her and everyone on the Panthers organization laid out the red carpet for the Santos family. Her picture still hangs in the Top Cat locker room to this day.
As a previous Wish Family, we understand the importance of a child’s wish and how a wish experience can be a game-changer for a child with cancer.  The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.  Over the past 10 years, ISF has donated over $143,000 to Make-A-Wish, granting over 24 wishes in the state of North Carolina.
