Same race, added yumminess.  Join us on Saturday, September 28 in Ballantyne Corporate Park for the 12th annual 5K/10K For Kids Cancer event presented by Red Ventures.  Work up a sweat and get hungry with our 5K, 10K or Fun Run followed by a NEW BRUNCH option provided by Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, Tito’s Vodka and NoDa Brewing.  We aren’t talking about just donuts and simply eggs and bacon, Firebirds is putting together a no joke brunch! When you register, DONUT forget to add on the brunch experience.  Raffles and Kids Zone with games, bouncy houses, face painting and more will be back. A family favorite, the ISF 5K, 10K & Fun Run for Kid’s Cancer event presented by Red Ventures on Saturday, September 28 is a great way to spend your morning with friends and family while making an impact on kids fighting cancer!  In its 12th year, the ISF event has added a NEW BRUNCH experience provided by Firebirds Wood Fired GrillTito’s Vodka and NoDa Brewing. We aren’t talking about just donuts and simply eggs and bacon.  How does chicken and waffle sandwiches with honey hot sauce sound?  How about fried green tomatoes with country ham, goat cheese, and pepper jelly? Beignets, biscuit, and pancake station anyone? That is just a small sample of the incredible brunch menu Firebirds Executive Chef Steve is creating! 
 
Raffles, silent auction and Kids Zone with games, bouncy houses, face painting and more will be back!  Be warned, tickets for the brunch (just like race registration) will be more expensive the day of the event and you will need a brunch wristband to participate in filling your belly!  For those who do not want to run or walk in the event, you can just purchase brunch tickets as well.

Race participants will receive a t-shirt, official racing bib with microchip timing system, and our fun run participants will receive a kids ISF cinch bag.  Prizes will be given to the winners for specific age categories.

Companies like yours have made the Isabella Santos Foundation 5K/10K for Kids Cancer one of the fastest growing non-profit fundraising family events in Charlotte. In 2018 with 2,000 runners/walkers and nearly 3,000 participants, dozens of corporations and the determination of the Charlotte community, we have established this event as the best of its kind! The funds raised from this event will help establish the Isabella Santos Foundation Rare and Solid Tumor Program.  The program will oversee care for all solid tumors, rare tumors, MIBG therapy and all related clinical and scientific research at Levine Children’s Hospital.  A program that will be first of it’s kind in the country. Given our huge social media following (15,000+) and our attendee demographic sponsoring an ISF event is an incredible advertising and brand growth opportunity! Race support comes in all shapes and sizes to work with your sponsorship goals and budget. We encourage you to join us, other national/local corporations, and family businesses at our 2019 event. Please note: You can also pick up your packet on race day prior to race. There will be signs directing you where to go. Also, the times indicated in the schedule on race day are estimated and are subject to change.

CAN I WALK THE 10K, 5K, OR FUN RUN?

Yes, our race is only as competitive as you want it to be so if you want to walk, you won’t be alone.

CAN I BRING A STROLLER OR A WAGON TO THE RACE?

Yes, we are a very family friendly event and encourage you to bring strollers or wagons for your little ones.

WHERE EXACTLY IS THE RACE TAKING PLACE?

The race will take place in Ballantyne Corporate Park. The closest address you can enter into your GPS would be 15801 Brixham Hill Ave. Charlotte, NC 28277. Once you are in this vicinity you will see signs everywhere guiding you where to park and to the start/finish line.

HOW DO I START A TEAM?

When you register there is a place to enter your team name if it is not already in the drop down. Once you create the team, others will be able to pull the team name from the drop down and register under that team name.

WHAT DOES THE $20 FUN RUN REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDE?

The $20 registration fee is for each participant that wants a t-shirt and a race bib (to capture time). If you are bringing a baby or someone that does not want a t-shirt or race bib, there is no need to register them.

IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT TO THE ONE MILE FUN RUN?

I HAVE REGISTERED FOR THE RACE BUT I AM NO LONGER ABLE TO PARTICIPATE, CAN I GET A REFUND?

No, unfortunately we cannot offer refunds.

I REGISTERED FOR THE 5K AND NOW I WOULD LIKE TO REGISTER FOR THE 10K INSTEAD, CAN I CHANGE MY REGISTRATION?

Yes, if you would like to change to the 10k it will be an additional $10. You can email karen@isabellasantosfoundation.com for more information.

WILL THERE BE FOOD AT THE RACE?

Yes, we have added a BRUNCH experience provided by Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, Tito’s Vodka and NoDa Brewing.  You can add on Brunch & drinks to your race registration.  Coming out to support your wife or child in the race and not running/walking… no worries, you can purchase the Brunch separately.  Brunch prices:  $5/Youth Brunch, $10/Adult Brunch and $15/Adult Brunch + 2 drink tickets.
