WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS
Please email our Event and Volunteer Coordinator, Karen Murphy, if you are interested in joining our ISF Volunteer team. We have a variety of events and volunteer opportunities throughout each year. You can help make a difference in our mission by volunteering your time or your talent. Or, you can help by donating a good or service to one of our events. Students earning service hours are welcome. “Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.” – H. J. Jackson Brown Jr.
RACE 5K/10K FOR KIDS CANCER RACE EACH SEPTEMBER
It takes a village to make our 5K/10K & Fun Run for Kids Cancer event successful! We need over 150 volunteers and would love to count on you to be among them. We have lots of volunteer areas at our flagship event.
- Race logistics, Set-up, Water-stations
- Kids Fun Zone helpers
- Vendor support
- Raffle/Silent Auction and more.
Please email Karen Murphy if you have any questions.
VOLUNTEER ON THE ISF AUCTION COMMITTEE OR DONATE A RAFFLE OR SILENT AUCTION ITEM
The Silent Auction is the LARGEST money maker for ISF on race day! We need a lot of help securing the items, packaging them and then working the auction at the race. We receive such fun items from our generous community businesses and beyond: Date night packages with hotel/dinner/limo, jewelry, kids activities, sports tickets and memorabilia, spa packages, vacations and more.
DONATE KIDS ACTIVITY FOR KIDS ZONE
Bounce houses, obstacle courses, tattoos, face-painting and photo booth….just to name a few of the fun activities we have in our Kids Zone. We are looking to expand the FUN we can provide to our little ones before and after they complete their 1 mile fun run or while mom and dad shop at the raffle tables. Kids + Fun = HAPPY Mom and Dad!
Running + fun = HUNGRY! We want to ensure we have enough refreshments available for our participants to keep their energy up. We have been able to provide chicken biscuits, fruit, bagels, and muffins. Contact us today if you are interested in helping provide refreshments to our participants who come out to make a difference.
Examples of various VOLUNTEER opportunities where ISF needs your help throughout the year:
- Annual Coffee for A Cure
- BOBs Awards Party
- Guys with Ties Casino Night
- Various Races/Events throughout Charlotte Region where ISF is a beneficiary
- Stuffing Swag Bags
- And more
Remember ISF is a 5013(c) non profit, so all donations are tax deductible. And if you are a business, we will help plug you on Facebook, Twitter and our blog. What would we do these days without social media?
