Annual Blood Drive
The Isabella Santos Foundation Annual Blood Drive with the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas (CBCC) began in honor of Isabella who’s life benefited from frequent blood transfusions. CBCC is like a family to us and we will never forget their support and dedication in increasing Isabella’s quality of life. Our next Blood Drive is scheduled on March 9, 2017 at Marvin Elementary School, which would have been Isabella’s 12th Birthday. We hope you will honor her by stopping by and saving a life.
On March 9, 2017, Isabella Santos would have turned 12. To honor her on her birthday, we are so proud to partner again with The Community Blood Center of the Carolinas to host a blood drive in her honor. Donating blood is truly a gift of life and is critical to cancer patients. We would love to see people make this small sacrifice in honor Isabella and so many others that fight by attending our annual blood drive on Thursday, March 9th at Marvin Elementary School from 8:30am-1:30pm. To make an appointment please call 704-972-4700 or set your own, using the link HERE and let them know you are donating blood to honor Isabella. Celebrate a life by saving lives. We look forward to having your support and continuing this tradition year after year.
Why do we support CBCC? As the primary blood supplier to the region’s patients and hospitals, it was very important in Isabella’s life to have local resources to count on every day. CBCC supports our local hospitals by providing blood needed to treat community patients.
Who does CBCC help? In our community, there are countless stories of patients battling illness. A common element in many of these stories is blood – red blood cells, platelets and plasma. The availability of blood products is often the difference between life and death. Every time you donate blood with CBCC, you’re supporting the life of someone in our own community; a young cancer patient, an African American with sickle cell disease, an adult undergoing a transplant, or an accident victim. Supporting CBCC saves local lives and keeps families whole. Together, we work to strengthen the bonds of community.
Help save lives year around! Contact CBCC to make your appointment to give blood or platelets at your convenience and take a look at public drives coming near you. It’s amazing to see donors who donate blood or platelets year round in honor of Isabella! Donating and want to send in your photo to show your support? Email your photo to Maitland Danner so we can show your support on our Facebook and Twitter.
