ISF Intern Team Cure Chasers Raises over $1,000 with Purple Bow Fundraiser

Georgia Stewart

“Georgia Stewart is a rising junior at Charlotte Catholic High School. Having known Isabella and growing up attending ISF events, Georgia knew the anniversary of Isabella’s passing, June 28th, was approaching. She came up with the idea to sell purple mailbox bows to commemorate this day and to show community support for those fighting pediatric cancer. Her fundraising idea was also intended to increase community awareness of The Isabella Santos Foundation.

Georgia is a part of my team, the Cure Chasers. The purple bows were sold to three neighborhoods near where she lives. Georgia and I set up bow sales and donation tables at neighborhood swim meets and at the pool during the afternoons. We also successfully advertised and sold bows virtually. This fundraiser was largely successful, and over $1000 was raised for ISF!” -Kate Cheek, Cure Chasers Lead Intern

Each week we will feature fundraisers our Intern Teams are working on, we hope you will follow along, support their efforts, and cheer them on! Our teams aren’t just fundraising, they are learning a large array of business skills to guide them into becoming the future leaders of our community.  We are so proud of all these students who chose to make a difference this summer!
