Wishing for a Cure Tonight

ISF Newsletter, February 2021 (Don’t receive our newsletter in your inbox, sign up here)

Isabella Joanne Santos (2005-2012)
& Jennifer Anne (Wise) Merendino (1971-2011)

We are one month away from our Star Light. Star Bright Luminary event on March 9th.  This day would have been Isabella’s sixteenth birthday and we are excited to honor her legacy with this special dedication event.

Our hearts are bursting with the response so far.  We love the special dedications coming in and can’t wait to light each and every one of the luminaries with your loved one’s names on them next to Isabella’s.

Our goal is to raise $100,000 for this event to help fund a neuroblastoma clinical trial at Levine Children’s.  Pediatric cancer research is happening right here in Charlotte, and you can be part of helping make it happen!  We have currently raised close to$53,000 and have a ways to go, but know with your support we will get there.

We hope you will join in participating by purchasing a luminary dedicated to someone you love fighting cancer.   Although this event is not open to the public, there will be videos and photos on our social media channels.

It’s easy to participate:

  1. Purchase a luminary dedication(s) in honor of a loved one affected by cancer

  2. ISF will contact you directly to gather the name(s) you wish to be displayed

  3. As the sun sets on March 9th, ISF will light luminaries in honor of Isabella & all loved ones with dedications.
