As we embrace the ever-changing event landscape we are planning a HYBRID race for our 14th Annual 5k for Kids Cancer event coming up on September 25th. We want to be crystal clear, the health and safety of our cancer families, participants, sponsors, partners, and staff is our #1 priority so we want you to participate how you feel comfortable!  What is a Hybrid race? Any race that incorporates both an in-person and virtual option… race where and how you want! Â
So let’s get our best cancer-hating face ready, we are just around the corner from September 25th. Given our vulnerable population and rising COVID-19 numbers, we will be taking every safety precaution possible to keep all safe and healthy if you choose to join us in person on race day! A very heartfelt thank you to our presenting sponsor, Hendrick Luxury Group, and all the sponsors who are helping us make this event possible!
As you may know in years past, our September 5K event has included many fun shenanigans for the entire family. Due to the current environment, we must be vigilant for our cancer families and community… we will be going back to basics this year. Although it won’t look the same, we will still pack the best possible impact on kids fighting cancer as possible. So join us for a 5K, 10K or 1-Mile Kids Fun Run, and know that you are spending the morning doing something good whether in person or if you choose to join from afar! Â
** New this year, we also have a satellite location in Albemarle, NCÂ **
Last year so many of you went one step further and fundraised helping make our 2020 event a HUGE success. Let’s do it again! When each person registers, you automatically receive a fundraising page that you can customize and send out to your network. Such an easy way to make a difference in the lives of kids fighting cancer.
