A COMMUNITY TRADITION RETURNS
The race that started it all is back in Ballantyne.
The Isabella Santos Foundation 5K for Kids with Cancer, presented by Uwharrie Bank, holds a special place in our history. What began as a grassroots race in Ballantyne helped launch a movement that has since raised more than $19 million for rare pediatric cancer research and family support.
Now, the race is back — bringing our community together once again to celebrate progress, honor the children we fight for and continue pushing the mission forward.
Whether you’re running for a personal best, walking with friends or cheering from the sidelines, this event is about community, impact and hope.
Not running? You can still join the fun! Festival-only tickets are available for non-runners to enjoy the Kids Zone, foam party, music, local vendors, free fairy hair and all the fun.
All proceeds will fuel research, clinical trials and family support programs at Levine Children’s Hospital and Novant Hemby Children’s Hospital.
