Daniella Ramirez, Isabella Santos Scholarship Winner

We are honored to announce this year’s Isabella Santos Scholarship Winner, Daniella Ramirez.  Daniella is graduating from Marvin Ridge High school and will be attending Appalachian State in the fall.  This $1,000 Community Service Scholarship is awarded every year to a graduating senior who participated in making a positive difference in our community related to cancer awareness, cancer action, and/or support of and volunteering with ISF.

Not only has Daniella excelled at academics while at Marvin Ridge High School, but she has made caring about community and others a priority. Daniella has volunteered for the past 7 years in a row at the ISF 5K for Kids Cancer event. She has participated numerous times and played a leading role in the MRHS Dance Team’s annual Mini Mav Dancer event that raises funds for ISF. She and her fellow dance team members also answered our call for volunteers back in March and were a tremendous help in setting up the luminaries on the lawn at Calvary for our special Sweet 16 Luminary Dedication event. Daniella was part of the team that helped ensure the luminaries were straight, so we could capture the perfect picture as the sunset on Isabella’s birthday and cancer fighters past and present were honored.

Thank you, Daniella, for your help and support all these years, and congratulations on your accomplishments! Good luck at Appalachian State in the fall. Keep helping others and making a difference!
