Charity Partners Program Extends Hospitality and Community Investment
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte’s STIR restaurant recently donated more than $6,300 to charity partner Isabella Santos Foundation.
“We are honored to partner with STIR Charlotte and the SquareUp Foundation, organizations that care about the community in which they live and work. They make community service a priority and ISF is incredibly fortunate to be their local charity partner,” said Karen Murphy, director of sponsorships and partnerships for the Isabella Santos Foundation. “Every child deserves the chance to stay alive, to grow up, to be able to live their dreams. The generosity of corporate partners helps us to continue to bring change to our pediatric cancer community. Together, we are making a difference for these kids and their families.” She added, “We are proud of that and hope that everyone on the STIR Charlotte team is too.”
The donation captured a portion of food sales and patron donations made during the month of November. Dennis Korn, general manager at STIR oversees the Charity Partners program in Charlotte. “We take customer service very seriously,” said Korn. “Expanding that concept to include community service and team support is one more reason why I love what we do.”
Allen Corey, founder and chief executive officer of SquareOne Holding Company, parent company of the STIR brand restaurants, explained that launching the SquareUp Foundation last year put an exclamation mark on the company’s commitment to the communities and stakeholders where SquareOne has operations. “The restaurants, holding company and foundation have core values that recognize collective success is found in the will and ability to support and invest in others. Our vulnerable families and neighbors experiencing pediatric cancer and other illnesses need our support.”
Ryan Hendrickson, chief operations officer at SquareOne, added that the spirit of care and hospitality is exemplified in every initiative of the Isabella Santos Foundation. “We are humbled by their work and will continue to be a frontline advocate for their activities.”

It was Isabella’s dream to Beat Cancer, Grow Hair, and Live Her Dreams. Although research and advanced treatments didn’t come in time for her dreams to come true, her legacy gives others a fighting chance against rare pediatric cancer. [/av_textblock]
