For Immediate Release:

State of Confusion to open new Charlotte restaurant on April 17

Charlotte, N.C. (April 6, 2023) – State of Confusion, the ultimate hangout and foodie destination coming to Lower South End, will officially introduce its made-from-scratch, authentic fusion of ceviche, Latin American, New Orleans and low-country fare to Charlotte on April 17.

Located at 3500 Dewitt Ln (on the corner of Dewitt and Clanton), Confusion will add a rooftop bar and cabanas with views of the city to the area’s quickly growing food and beverage scene. With over 9,000 sq. ft. the two-story restaurant can seat up to 600 guests. The space features a partially covered upstairs, downstairs patio with fire pits and games, an indoor dining room with two expansive bars and multiple private event spaces.

“Our team traveled to Peru, New Orleans, Miami and the low-country to learn from locals for a menu that reflects our training and commitment to bring guests authentic cuisine that they may have never tried otherwise,” said Confusion Charlotte’s General Manager Brent Reid. “We even take it a step further, showcasing unique operations like the fresh sugar cane extraction for mojitos and Argentinian wood fire grills. We’re really excited to show off the immense care and details that we put into every drink and dish. ”

Going beyond its commitment to bring people together over great food and drinks, as a part of the SquareUp Foundation, State of Confusion will partner with the Isabella Santos Foundation to accept donations for the local nonprofit during the opening weeks.

“We are so excited and honored to be the charity partner for State of Confusion as they join our Charlotte community. At ISF, we must continually raise funds to help improve outcomes for childhood cancer. Every child deserves the chance to stay alive, to grow up, and to live their dreams,” said ISF Director of Sponsorships and Partnerships Karen Murphy. “The generosity of corporate partners helps us continue to bring needed change to our pediatric cancer community. Together we are making a difference.

Starting on April 17, State of Confusion will be open daily. Hours of operation are 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday, open until 1:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and will feature a Brunch menu starting at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
