Restaurant in Park Road Shopping Center Pairs Hearty Comfort Classics with Long-Term Support for Local Charities

CHARLOTTE, NC (Aug. 11, 2025) – The wait is almost over. Mother’s Comfort Food & Cocktails, the highly anticipated restaurant that will serve hearty comfort classics served with a warm, welcoming touch, will celebrate the grand opening of its newest location on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. at the historic Park Road Shopping Center, 4271 Park Road in Charlotte. When it opens, the restaurant will feature an indoor bar and dining space with roll-up garage doors opening to an indoor/outdoor bar and spacious patio.

In addition to the August 14 opening, the restaurant will host a special Grand Opening celebration in September, featuring festivities, menu tastings and opportunities for guests to meet the team and learn more about its local charity partners.

When it opens, Mother’s will serve up a wide-ranging menu that feels both familiar and fresh and offers something for everyone, elevating this experience with quality ingredients, bold flavors and a modern twist on timeless favorites on its 130-item menu. From indulgent breakfast scrambles, fluffy pancakes, hearty omelets, signature burgers, sandwiches, salads, savory entrees like Mother’s Famous Chicken ‘N Waffles, and desserts such as April’s Cookie Skillet, everything is served in generous portions with a smile. Guests can enjoy lunch for breakfast, breakfast for dinner, or mix it up however they like.

And for those who enjoy a great drink alongside their meal, the bar menu features handcrafted cocktails and a curated wine list. Guests can sip on indulgent boozy milkshakes, a perfectly balanced Old Fashioned or margarita, and of course, the Bloody Mary of all Bloody Mary’s.

The new restaurant’s owners say they are privileged to introduce this one-of-a-kind dining experience not only to the vibrant SouthPark neighborhood but to the entire Charlotte market.

In keeping with that spirit, Mother’s has chosen two outstanding local charities to support from day one: the Isabella Santos Foundation and Go Jen Go.

During its Friends & Family pre-opening events, both Isabella Santos Foundation and Go Jen Go will receive a portion of net proceeds to fuel their important missions. But the giving won’t stop there:

• Scoops for a Cause: Mother’s Comfort Food & Cocktails will donate $0.25 from every scoop of Gifford’s premium, slow-churned ice cream to the Isabella Santos Foundation, funding research and providing support to families affected by rare pediatric cancers. Mother’s will also work with the charity to provide comforting meals to families staying near local hospitals while their loved ones receive treatment.
• The “Go Jen Go” Garden Scramble: $1 from every order of this special menu item will go directly to Go Jen Go, which provides critical financial assistance to individuals and families in the Charlotte area battling breast cancer.
