ISF Summer Interns Enjoy Their First Week of the 2022 Program

Our 2022 Summer Interns started this week and have already hit the ground running! These leads had the chance to hang out with the ISF team and learn more about Isabella’s story and our mission. The kickoff BBQ is one our favorite summer events and we had so much fun.  We can already tell this group of smart and passionate students are ready to be Change Makers in Isabella’s name.

We had a few special guests tag along at the kick off BBQ to meet and mingle with our 2022 leads. Gavin Hill, 2x neuroblastoma fighter, popped by. He got to share his own story with the summer team and learn more about what the program has in store this year. It was very eye opening to this group to see someone their own age battling cancer. Our favorite comeback kid always knows how to light up a room and put a smile on everyone’s faces.

ISF Advisory board member Elena Kacan also stopped by to introduce herself to the team. She loved getting to know everyone, and gave the leads important life skills advice. Networking and saying yes to every new opportunity is essential in her mind to furthering your career and meeting people. 

We want to give a special shoutout to intern lead Rain Jacob for already being ahead of the game and getting some fundraising numbers on that leaderboard week 1! She has already raised $280, and there’s so much time left to go. We can’t wait to share more updates with you all and are excited for our full team of volunteers to start in a week. Let’s do this thing Change Makers!!
