KinderMourn Grant Supports 53 Families Affected by Cancer-Related Deaths
53 families received critically important grief support care and services in 2020 because of you!
Last year the Isabella Santos Foundation granted KinderMourn $5,000 to support 53 families whose lives were turned upside down by a cancer-related death. Bereaved parents, grieving children, and teens participated in various KinderMourn services including play therapy, individual counseling, and bereavement support groups. All services were offered at no charge to these individuals due to the generosity of ISF; ensuring equity in grief support regardless of race, economic or ethnic background.
Our partnership with KinderMourn is part of our ‘Live My Dreams’ giving program to help support local organizations or the specific needs of families affected by childhood cancer. To be part of ongoing supportive care for families, please consider giving $5 a month.
KinderMourn’s Mission: KinderMourn provides hope for bereaved parents, grieving children, and teens by offering support and counseling programs, creating awareness of bereavement issues, and empowering the community to effectively assist those who have suffered an unthinkable loss.[/av_textblock]
