All-In To Fight Cancer Donates to Five Charlotte Cancer Organizations

All-In To Fight Cancer raises $25,000 in funds and shares them equally with each of their five Charlotte Cancer beneficiaries.

All-In to Fight Cancer Donates $45,000 to Isabella Santos Foundation

Right before Christmas All-In to Fight Cancer quietly donated $45,000 to ISF! Their contribution allowed us to make the final impact in 2019 to Levine Children’s for the ISF Rare and Solid Tumor Program in the amount of $650,000! Year after year we have been both honored and blown away to be a beneficiary of their annual Texas Hold’em event here in Charlotte. This event was built to honor and continue one man’s legacy, Rob Ubank, who passed away from cancer. Because of this single annual event benefiting multiple local cancer organizations… Rob’s legacy now has fingerprints all of Charlotte.

Thank you All-In-To Fight Cancer for providing significant impact to not only our foundation, but so many other great organizations in our community like Go Jen Go! , ChemoCarsNovant Health, and The Paula Takacs Foundation for Sarcoma Research! We admire and appreciate your dedication, passion and hardwork!

Driven to Support Our Local Cancer Community

Last December, our ‘Car For A Cure’ raffle made an even bigger impact on our local cancer community. Steve Amedio, co-founder of All-In to Fight Cancer was the lucky winner of a 2-year lease of a 2018 Platinum Edition Nissan Murano donated by Modern Nissan of Lake Norman.

Steve didn’t need the car for himself, but wanted to figure out how the Charlotte cancer community could benefit from Modern Nissan of Lake Norman’s generosity. The donated 2-year lease was gifted to ChemoCars to use the Isabella Santos Foundation ‘Car For A Cure.’

ChemoCars provides local cancer patients with free, on-demand rides to and from treatments. Because ChemoCars exclusively uses Uber and Lyft to transport patients, the custom-wrapped ‘Car For A Cure’ is used for meetings and events throughout the area.

“We were super excited to get the car, which serves as a great branding piece with its larger-than-life display,” says Zach Bolster who founded ChemoCars in memory of his mother, Gloria, who died from pancreatic cancer. “We are a young nonprofit so to have this moving billboard is a huge asset to our organization.”

Since launching in March 2017, ChemoCars has consistently grown. Last month, they provided nearly 1,000 rides in Charlotte and Amarillo, Texas. Every ride honors Gloria who dedicated her life to helping others and is the inspiration of ChemoCars.

Adds Zach, “We are very grateful to All-In to Fight Cancer and the Isabella Santos Foundation. This car is indicative of the spirit of cooperation happening among the Charlotte cancer community. We all enjoy working together and helping make the Queen City one of the best places in the nation to fight cancer.”

Who Says Karma Isn’t a Real Thing?

When we ran our ‘Car For A Cure’ end of year raffle in December… we never imagined it would end up like this!

Steve Amedeo was our winner.  And the funny thing is, he had no idea what he was buying raffle tickets for.  Steve simply wanted to support our year-end campaign and became the winner of a 2-year lease of a  2018 Platinum Edition Nissan Murano donated by Modern Nissan of Lake Norman.   If you don’t know Steve, you should.  He is the Co-Founder of an amazing organization, All-In to Fight Cancer. This organization was created in honor of his friend Rob Eubanks who passed away from cancer.

Who says karma isn’t a real thing?

After he won, Steve started making some phone calls.  He didn’t need the car for himself, but wanted to figure out how the Charlotte cancer community could benefit from Modern Nissan of Lake Norman’s generosity.  We are thrilled that the donated 2-year lease has been gifted to ChemoCars who will use the The Isabella Santos Foundation ‘Car For A Cure’  to provide local cancer patients with free on-demand rides to and from chemotherapy.  TOGETHER, we are driven to support our local cancer community. For more info about the work ChemoCars is doing here in Charlotte, visit https://chemocars.org/
