During the entire month of March, we will celebrate our founder Isabella’s birthday month. She would have turned 16 years old on March 9th. Even almost 9 years later, Isabella remains at the heart of why we exist. She is why ISF began and her three wishes are what our foundation is built on. Thanks to your incredible support over all these years, we continue to help kids beat cancer, grow hair, and live their dreams in Isabella’s name.
We invite you to celebrate Isabella’s big legacy with us this month. During the entire month of March, we have many opportunities for you to make a difference in honor of and all that she continues to inspire for pediatric cancer. 🌟 Star Light Star Bright Luminary Dedication Event, March 9th
On the evening of what would have been Isabella’s 16th birthday, March 9th, ISF will light luminaries at a private event to signify the hope and change Isabella’s legacy has brought to the world. Although our Star Light Star Bright event is not open to the public, you can participate by purchasing a luminary dedication in honor of someone you know who has been affected by cancer. We have absolutely loved receiving dedications! Tune in the evening of March 9th, we will stream on Facebook & Instagram Live.
Proceeds from the event will support the research of Dr. Giselle Sholler at Levine Children’s. Learn about the clinical trial she is working on. Our goal is $100,000. Purchase luminary dedication

🩸ISF Blood Drive, March 6-9
You can make such a difference in someone’s life by just sharing your time to donate blood! Isabella’s annual birthday drive which will run Sat, March 6 – Tues, March 9th at two locations: Isabella Santos Center in Ballantyne | 12239 N. Community House Road & Charlotte Center | 4447 South Blvd. Schedule your appointment
For every platelet or blood donation, OneBlood will donate $10 to the ISF to help make a difference for kids fighting cancer. In addition, all donors will receive a wellness check, including a COVID-19 antibody test, cholesterol, and blood pressure. The antibody test will indicate if the donor’s immune system has produced antibodies to the virus, regardless of whether they ever showed symptoms. OneBlood has implemented additional social distancing safety protocols to protect donors and staff. Appointments are required.

💜 Create a March Facebook Fundraiser
In honor of your birthday or even Isabella’s on March 9th, we would be honored if you celebrated with us by hosting a Facebook Fundraiser for ISF! Such a positive way to use social media! All you have to do is set a fundraising goal, choose an end date, write something personal about why you’re raising money, and give your fundraiser a title. Click “create” and your friends will see the fundraiser in their News Feeds and get a notification letting them know you’re raising for a cause.

⛳️ Participate in Wells Fargo Championship’s Birdies for Charlotte Charities, Now until May 5th
We are excited to be a part of a fundraising program this year, Wells Fargo Championship Birdies for Charlotte Charities. Think of it like your child’s boosterthon fun run at school… but instead of pledging for laps, you pledge for birdies. Make a pledge of one cent or more for every “Birdie” made by the PGA TOUR Pros during the Wells Fargo Championship. (Let’s back up for those not familiar with golf. What is a Birdie? – In golf, par is the expected score on each hole and a birdie is one stroke below par for the hole.)
Upon completion of the tournament, you will be charged for your resulting pledge amount, ISF will receive 100% of the amount pledged by donors electing to support ISF, as well as an additional 5% match of the ISF fundraising total from the Wells Fargo Championship.
Make your pledge now through May 5th HERE. Then tune in to the championship from May 6-9 to see how many “birdies” there are in 2021. (Note: in 2019, there were a total of 1,434 birdies). As an example, if 1,500 birdies are made during the 2021 event, a 1 cent pledge = $15 total donation to ISF, a 3 cents pledge = $45 donation etc….
You can also make a flat donation not tied to birdies. For flat donations, the minimum is $20.
The minimum birdie pledge is $.01 and the maximum pledge is $1.00. The last day to submit a pledge is Wednesday, May 5, 2021.
