Hosting events for nonprofits isn’t getting easier due to the current environment, but that’s ok!  This time has forced the ISF team to re-evaluate and re-energize ourselves around new endeavors so we can continue to help impact childhood cancer.  With very little event costs in 2020, ISF gave away $1 Million to support our mission for pediatric cancer for the first time in the history of our foundation.  We are hoping to be able to continue the momentum in 2021 through our reimagined events!

On March 9th our founder, Isabella Santos would have turned 16 years old.  On this day when the sun sets, ISF will host Star Light Star Bright, a luminary dedication event, in Isabella’s honor on the front lawn of Calvary Church.  Not only is this day incredibly special, but this location is as well.  Isabella attended preschool at Calvary and is laid to rest in their Magnolia Gardens. Although this will be a private event due to current restrictions, ISF will be live via social so that all can participate.   ISF will light a luminary in memory of Isabella, and other kids past and present who have been affected by cancer. And we invite all near and far to do the same… honor someone they love too.  Luminary dedications will be gathered through donations on the ISF website.

Because it is in honor of Isabella’s Sweet Sixteen, we are focusing on partnerships from the automotive community.  So far we have had such a great response from Charlotte area auto dealers and excited for Lake Norman Chrysler|Dodge|Jeep|Ram & Scott Clark Auto Group to step up as co-presenting sponsors.  We have several sponsorship levels available, please contact Erin Santos to talk about opportunities.  Our goal is to have as many auto dealers involved with this special event as possible.  But don’t worry, all businesses welcome to participate!   (View Star Light. March 9th will be a special day, in a special place… we are also funding something special with proceeds from Star Light Star Bright.  We have partnered with Levine Children’s to help fund a clinical trial focused on relapsed neuroblastoma, proceeds from this event will kick off this funding.  Isabella passed away at 7-years old after fighting cancer 5 times.  Relapse after relapse, she had no more options before losing her battle to neuroblastoma.  We work tirelessly to help create more cancer treatment options for kids like her.
