ISF INTERN CLASS OF 2020
The ISF Summer Internship Program provides both high school, college and graduate level students a unique opportunity to learn and have hands-on experience in a leading Charlotte non-profit environment. Participating interns received the opportunity to work in a team-based environment with primary goal of creating awareness and raising funds for rare pediatric cancer in a virtual world.
In summer of 2020, our 5 carefully selected Intern Leads put together a team of volunteer interns, 51 total! Throughout the summer the teams competed against each other in developing creative content, building the largest (& widespread) virtual race team, and raising the most financial funds… all to bring awareness and action for rare pediatric cancer. Each week we strived to provide our Intern Teams fun and friendly competitions, speakers and real world tools that will help them prepare for life outside of their education.
During this 10 week program, the ISF summer intern class brought in over $75,000, recruited 278 virtual race participants throughout 26 states!
Collectively raised by 2020 ISF Summer Intern Class for pediatric cancer!
