Run With A Purpose
Isabella’s Dream Team is an endurance running program that raises money for the Isabella Santos Foundation (ISF) while training for half and full marathons. The Dream Team officially started in 2014 with 25 runners. It has grown tremendously, not just in the number of runners and amount of funds raised, but also in its social media presence. To date, over $400,000 has been raised by this amazing group.
Isabella’s Dream Team runs with a purpose… for Isabella and other kids fighting cancer. We run to raise money to help childhood cancer and hope you will consider joining us in 2018!
Dream Team runners run all over the Charlotte area. The team has socials each month, weekday short runs, and a long team run every Saturday morning (from March to November).

In it’s 5th year, Isabella’s Dream Team welcomes runners on ALL levels.
What is continuing in 2018?
Our training schedule will once again include a training program for The Isabella Santos Foundation 11th Annual 5k/10k For Kids Cancer to be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 in Ballantyne Corporate Park . If you’re not quite ready for a half marathon, this would be a great stepping stone. Fundraising Commitment Level: $500.00 minimum.

- Rock N Roll Savannah Half Marathon Nov 3-4, 2018/ (Half or Full)
- Charlotte Marathon Relay Nov 3, 2018/ five-person team covers 26.2
- Charlotte Marathon Nov 3, 2018 (Half or Full)
- Any race of your choosing around this same time frame
New this year:
We will be adding 2 additional races/training options for early spring 2019 that will allow you to continue training, to taper training, or in some cases, increase your distance. These will be identified and announced soon. Stay Tuned.

Dream Team Motivation
“So, like the majority of America, I set a New Year’s Resolution to get fit, but I had no idea how to do it. My friend Kayla invited me to start the Couch to 5K program and I was just desperate enough to say yes. I vividly remember her saying, “Don’t worry, it eases you into it.”
“It’s the feeling of running for something bigger than myself that pushes me to keep going. To know that this Dream Team of ours is making a difference, in Isabella’s honor, motivates me at each and every run. This year I’m running the New York City Marathon and the Charlotte Half Marathon in the same week. 25 years ago this Gym Class Failure refused to run a mile and now I invite you to share in my journey towards 39.3.”
“Seeing everybody working to lift everyone else up is a type of inspiration that you can’t find just anywhere. My mantra when things get tough has consistently been “one mile at a time”, forcing me to just focus on the goal. Sometimes it has worked, sometimes is hasn’t; but now as a member of Isabella’s Dream Team, that mantra gets me through every time. Because we’re all doing this for the same reason. For the same goal. And If Isabella can fight Neuroblastoma for 5 years … over 70% of her life … then, dammit, we can make it one more freaking mile. And all the miles after that.”
