This new center, named after Isabella, allows CBCC to offer an even more convenient donation experience for donors in South Charlotte and down into South Carolina. Blood and platelets play a critical role in cancer treatment and we are very excited to take our partnership with CBCC to the next level.

Opens on Monday, October 8th!

The opening of the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas Isabella Santos Center in Ballantyne allows us to offer an even more convenient donation experience for our donors in South Charlotte and down into South Carolina. It will allow these dedicated donors to give blood and platelets closer to home as they make a difference for patients in our community, while also showing their support for a very special organization that we hold near and dear to our hearts.

CBCC president and CEO Martin Grable had this to say about the new center:

“When we made the decision to open a center in Ballantyne, we immediately thought of the Isabella Santos Foundation. We’ve partnered with ISF for years around kids fighting cancer and the need for blood. I remember the first time I met Isabella and the impact she had on me. I didn’t know much about neuroblastoma at the time. Now I know that, through the work of ISF, we’ve made tremendous advances here in our own community in the treatment of neuroblastoma. Blood and platelets play a critical role in cancer treatment. We hope you’ll donate in our new Ballantyne center and support all of our local patients who need blood.”
